THE BEST CHILDREN TENNIS RACKETS
HOW TO FIND THE RIGHT TENNIS RACKET FOR CHILDREN?
When purchasing a children's tennis racket, several aspects play an important role.
  • If the child stands upright and lets the bat hang down in his hand, the frame of the racket should be about 3 cm from the ground. If the frame of the racket touches the floor, it will be too large and will hinder the child while playing. Basically, of two possible tennis rackets always the smaller one should be chosen.
  • The club handle should be thin enough for the child to wrap around it well. Too thick or too thin a grip will cause the child to hold the racquet too tight, which may hinder a smooth-running club and cause injury.
  • Beginners should be able to easily maneuver the tennis racket. Most are the shorter children's rackets made of aluminum (length 17-23 inches). These have the advantage that they are relatively easy and children can handle them well. Longer children's rackets (25-26 inches) are available in both aluminum and graphite (ideal for ambitious children and adolescents).
  • Rackets with a composite frame are slightly harder and more comfortable. These have a shaft made of fiberglass or graphite on the shaft and heart.
  • Children's rackets are generally strung from the factory. This string is sufficient to test the racket. For a permanent play the bat should be strung again. The string ex-factory is in doubt for several months on the racket and had to withstand different storage conditions.
Important: When choosing the tennis racket for children should always be considered the individual ability to play.
