On the Challenge models we have a new data informed hardcourt outsole to maximize grip on court. The hardcourt outsole on the Challenge models also gives grip on multi-court surfaces such as artificial grass courts.
Nike Claybreaker technology helps give you enhanced traction and less buildup on clay courts. Added grip in the forefoot and midfoot work with a wide traction pattern to help you slide with control. We used traction maps, pressure maps and analyzed clay buildup areas for the design. Then we tested it on red-clay courts in Europe in multiple clay-weather conditions (cold, warm, wet and dry).
